CAPDD now hiring part-time Materials Recovery Processor for Lonoke Recycling Center

The Central Arkansas Planning and Development District, Inc. (CAPDD) is currently accepting applications and resumes for a part-time Materials Recovery Processor to work at the Lonoke Recycling Center.
This position supports local recycling efforts and helps ensure materials are properly sorted and processed for reuse. Weekly hours will vary and will include weekday evening hours as well as Saturdays.
Position Requirements
Applicants must:
Possess a formal education equivalent to a high school diploma
Have a valid driver’s license and current auto liability insurance
Be able to understand and follow directions
Be knowledgeable about recyclable materials collected at a materials recovery facility
Job Responsibilities
The Materials Recovery Processor will play an important role in daily recycling operations. Responsibilities include:
Directing members of the public to the appropriate recycling stations
Providing information about recycling programs offered through the Central Arkansas Regional Solid Waste Management District
Sorting and cleaning recyclable materials
Processing materials through baling, crushing, and loading finished products for transport
This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work in an active, hands-on environment.
Employment Requirements
Applicants selected for the position will be required to submit to a drug and alcohol screening following a conditional offer of employment.
