Workforce Development

Central Arkansas Workforce Development aims to improve employment opportunities and economic growth by connecting job seekers with training, education, and employers. It focuses on bridging the skills gap and enhancing employability through local programs and partnerships with businesses and educational institutions. Central Arkansas Workforce serves Faulkner, Lonoke, Monroe, Prairie, Pulaski and Saline counties.

WIOA Program:

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federal program that helps job seekers (youth, adults, and dislocated workers) access employment, education, and training. It provides skills development, career counseling, and supportive services like childcare and transportation. WIOA also partners with employers to meet workforce needs by offering training aligned with in-demand industries. In Central Arkansas, WIOA connects job seekers to key sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and IT, supporting both individuals and businesses in the region.
