Central Arkansas Planning and Development District (CAPDD) is the link between community, government, and industry in Central Arkansas. We provide many services that help improve communities economically, as well as ecologically. These services include:


Community and Economic Development

Assisting with community and economic grant programs for public works development, as well as recreation and tourism development. We provide assistance for a wide variety of funding sources to help communities improve water and wastewater systems, rural fire departments, day care centers, industrial park infrastructure, and senior citizens centers.

Geographic Mapping, Information, and Planning Services
Master street and road plans for cities and counties, geographic information services to aid in planning for government entities and industry, and flood plain management.

Central Arkansas Regional Solid Waste Management District
CAPDD provides and creates recycling programs for Faulkner, Lonoke, Monroe, and Prairie counties. The Solid Waste Management District also provides waste hauler licensing and addresses illegal dumping, littering, and household hazardous waste disposal. Also provides environmental education programs and assistance.

Census and Other Information
CAPDD is an affiliate of the Arkansas Data Center and provides information on the U.S. Census to the general public and local government officials.

Revolving Loan Fund
Our revolving loan fund stimulates economic and job development for Pulaski, Faulkner, Saline, Lonoke, Prairie, and Monroe Counties in Central Arkansas.

Workforce Investment Act Services
These services include adult and dislocated worker programs, classroom training, on-the-job training (OJT), Summer Youth Employment and Opportunity Program (SYEOP), as well as many others that are mandated by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.

Arkansas Workforce Centers in Central and Southeast Arkansas
Workforce Centers service Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Cleveland, Chicot, Desha, Drew, Faulkner, Grant, Jefferson, Lincoln, Lonoke, Monroe, Prairie, Pulaski, and Saline counties. These centers provide Workforce Investment Act Services to the general public and act as a one-stop-shop for employment- and training-related services.
